Using the Dead Sea and the Negev as a conceptual surrounding you will explore your artistic heritage through the making of ancient ceramics and sculpture (ornamental or votive). You will visit the hidden meanings found in ancient alphabet graphics.

For the making of ceramics you will mix clay with local sands and fire our pieces in a pit fire. The beauty of pit firing is how it yields remarkably colorful effects made by the dancing flames on the unglazed clay and by oxidation of the Dead Sea salts.

Following the traditions of the Old World's great civilizations' work in metal, you will experience making sculpture using the traditional sand technique more than 6000 years old.
